Welcome To Juno House

Sarah is a Registered Psychologist and has been working in the field of psychology for ten years.

She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Athabasca University and a Master’s in Counselling Psychology from City University of Seattle. After graduation, she worked in early intervention as a Behaviour Therapist for children with special needs, and gained experience completing psycho-educational assessments for children experiencing learning difficulties.

In 2014, Sarah transitioned to focus her career on the specialized treatment of adolescents and their families. Since then, she has worked with children and youth, within the school system and in private practice, who experienced a variety of challenges including anxiety, depression, relational challenges, attention difficulties, and post-traumatic stress. In that time, she has recognized the importance of parents being an integral part of successful treatment.

Grounded in the Juno House Therapeutic model, Sarah seeks to create meaningful connections with girls and their parents, in order to guide them on their healing journey. Sarah is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and has taken additional training in EMDR to tailor approaches to youth.  She has also gained additional training in a variety of modalities including Play Therapy, Sand-tray, Family Therapy, and Expressive Arts Therapy.
